Reward the star in your life.

This badge started out as a special request from a teacher as end of year presents to her class.  She wanted to make sure that they all knew they were stars.

It certainly seems to be the badge that boys are as happy to wear as girls - but do let us know who it is for and we will make sure that it suits.

These stars are 37mm diameter and there are also smaller baby button badges which are 25mm.

Isobel is our chief cakemaker here at Snapdragon.  She brings in beautifully made treats for our mid morning coffee breaks - sometimes these are so amazing that I post photos on Facebook.

These badges are calorie free though - sweet colours, Paul Smith shirting for their cups and vintage linen for their icing.  What could be sweeter.

We are rather over-run with chickens here in Snapdragon's Garden.  A summer holiday in Orkney last summer gave our hens plenty of time to go broody and a week after we got back there were lots of tiny fluffy chicks running about.

For the past year my own house has been filled with a team of builders who have been knocking it down and rebuilding it around us.  Its looking good now butthere were times when I fled to the much more civilised workshop and took great pleasure in sewing these tiny, cute, and above all finished wee houses.

They look great on their own or you can pair them with our 25mm baby button house.  I often use these to jazz up the bow when wrapping house warming presents.

All gardeners love ladybirds and here in Snapdragon's grden we are no different.  These are one of our most popular badges - they really make people smile.

I like to wear these with our snail and butterfly badges to mke a proper gardening group.

Snails shouldn't be as popular as ladybirds with us gardeners but they are - I think it must be that they carry their home on their back - for I could certainly never make a slug badge.

Jamming is the new rock and roll - or so the newspapers tell us.  It is certainly true that there is little more domestic goddess like than transforming a punnet of berries into fragrant pot of jam.

These tiny pots of jam are embroidered on velvet and linen on cord backgrounds - for the record my favourite jam is rhubard and vanilla.

I grew up with West Highland terriers and though my own dog, Jasmine, is a scruffy black mutt, I still have a soft spot for the quirky and stolid breed that is the Westie.
